The Little Duck Bay Métis Square Dancers come from Duck Bay, Manitoba, a small Métis community on the shores of Lake Winnipegosis. The group are of Métis Decent and sport the Métis emblem on their uniforms in recognition of their heritage.
The Little Duck Bay Métis Square Dancers are a group of 8 young devoted square dancers ranging in ages from six years to ten years of age.
The group was established on December 15th 2004 under the instruction of Bella Thompson and Coach Laurie Sanderson of the well known champion square dancers ‘The Duck Bay Métis Square Dancers’ along with the dedicated parents and grandparents who help the team thrive.
In the past two years, The Little Duck Bay Métis Square Dancers have made a name for themselves performing at various locations throughout Manitoba and Ontario.
